Modbus Serial Sensor Convertor products all contain precision high-resolution sensor to digital signal conditioners for measuring signals such as T Thermocouples, 4-20mA current loops, and 2242 Ohm NTC Thermistors. The sensor outputs are converted to digital signals and scaled into engineering units to be read by a host computer. Sensors can be connected directly to the device without the need for external components to accurately perform a measurement.
The Serial Sensor Convertor modules perform all signal conditioning, the sensor to digital conversion and produces a digital data output. The data values are transmitted to a host computer using either ASCII or Modbus RTU serial protocol via an RS-485 serial port, usable as part of a simple sensor data acquisition system.
Does not include USB to RS-485 convertor, DC power supply, Data Acquisition software (works with DASYLab), enclosure, or wiring materials.
